2.  You have to ask 5 questions.  What additional questions do you plan to ask?
-Some additional open ended questions I would ask are:

Blog Assignment 3

1.  List your topic here:

Homeless Social  Service

2.  What do you plan to do this year to show growth in each of the ESLRs?  Be specific and use an example.  Examples can come from senior project, model assembly, core, and/or participation in senior class ASB or other organizations on campus (clubs etc).
  • iPoly Citizen - As a citizen of iPoly, I plan to participate in several school events, fundraisers and house activities. Participating in these will bring people within houses closer together, which is the main idea of all being citizens of iPoly, or being part of a big community.
  • Effective Learner - I will take advantage of all opportunities given to me by my mentors, fellow students and teachers. Any information that I have not yet learned is just waiting to be learned, and I plan to take full advantage of that on several occasions this school year.
  • Effective User of Technology - I will take advantage of different research websites, along with the purdue owl for help with MLA formatting. I will also not use Wikipedia!
  • Effective Communicator - I will take initiative to lead a group during house activities or for a project, communicate with teammates throughout the year, and share my ideas with fellow students while doing assignments.

(626)240-4594

3. What kind of education is needed for work in social services? What are the full responsibilities working in an office for social services as compared to at a soup kitchen or food bank?

Interpretive

4. That it takes a lot of commitment to aiding the homeless community, and one of those commitments is getting people committed to helping your cause. Also, you really have to be dedicated to this job as well, it requires a lot of extra hours, but I think it's worth it.

Applied

5. My first choice for my senior project was sports broadcasting, but after being unable to find a mentor I decided to chase another topic I am interested in, social service, more specifically, helping the homeless. I chose it because I enjoy helping the homeless community find food, shelter, and job opportunities, really giving them a reason to smile is the biggest reason I enjoy it, as cliche as that sounds, its cliche cause its true!
